Bride | Paper Issues | Sketchy Saturday

Hi everyone!

It's Sketchy Saturday time again over at the Paper Issues blog...this time we are taking inspiration from Sasha Farina's AMAZING layout she created for October Afternoon

Here is the sketch inspired by Sasha's layout ...

This is Sasha's AMAZING layout

Here is my take on Sasha's beautiful layout...I really liked the idea of the large title down the page like that so I used the large letters from the Fancy Pants Office Suite collection to create a similar look...

I tried to stay true to the sketch but I swapped out the circle elements for more squares...

The FP Office Suite collection has LOADS of ephemera so its super easy to layer and include little details on your layouts!
If you would like to purchase any of the Fancy Pants Office Suite collection that I have used today or anything from the Paper Issues store..Don't forget to ALWAYS use TARRAH as your code at checkout for 20% every time you shop!

5 Favourites | Epiphany Crafts

Hi there!

I am so excited to be sharing my first Epiphany Crafts project with you today!

This week we are sharing our Favourite Things in our projects using our choice of tools!

For this layout I have used the Pennant 25 tool with the Pennant 25 Bubble caps and also the Heart 25 tool with the Heart 25 Bubble caps teamed with the 'Flutter' collection by Fancy Pants Designs.

I decided to journal about some of my favourite things and used a photo of myself to document these fave things! I added some enamel dots to highlight each favourite!
5 Favourites Detail

Originally I was going to use all different patterned papers with the Pennant 25 Shape Studio tool but then I decided it would look more like a banner and more uniformed if I used the same paper...I love how it turned out!
5 Favourites Detail 2

The Heart 25 Shape Studio tool is definitely one of my favourite tools to use...I wanted to add loads of hearts but I knew I couldn't go overboard with them! I decided a pretty pink heart would look nice on the bottom of the photo.
5 Favourites Detail 3

Thank you so much for joining me on my blog today...I hope I have inspired you to get your EC tools out and make some cute embellishments for your projects!

Happy creating...see you next time...

Fabulous | Cocoa Vanilla Studio

Hi there everyone!
Today I am sharing a new layout that I have created using the stunning new Cocoa Vanilla Studio 'Hello Lovely' collection!
As soon as I saw this beautiful 'Glimmer' patterned paper I knew that I wanted to use and add some colour to it.....I am not sure if you can see it much in the above photo but I used some watercolour pencils and coloured in some of the flowers in the background, I did keep it quite subtle though as my pencils were slightly different colours.
Fabulous Detail
I just love how the beautiful ephemera pieces add some pretty colour to the black and white background and makes my photo really pop!
Fabulous Detail 2
I also added some yellow and pink mists for some more pops of colour too!
The brand new collections 'Hello Lovely' and 'Made of Awesome' will be available to purchase in the next couple of weeks! Make sure you look out for them in stores or you can but directly through the Cocoa Vanilla Studio store really soon! Don't forget there are still the super gorgeous 'Flying High' and 'Sugar & Spice' collections for purchase too!

Guest Designing for Pink Paislee continued.....and the WINNER of my Cut Shoppe File Giveaway!!1

Before you read through my post I need to announce the lucky winner of the cut file I was giving away from The Cut Shoppe

The lucky winner is:

Congrats Judith, I will be in touch with you regarding your prize, thank you everyone who left some lovely comments!!

Today I am sharing two more of the 4 projects I created for my guest design team position for Pink Paislee!

'I Still Call Australia Home'

This photo was taken on Australia Day held in January this year, I decided to convert the photo to black and white but preserve the colour just in the Australian flag my son is holding.

As soon as I saw that gorgeous atlas patterned paper from the Atlas collection, I knew that was the one I wanted to use for this layout..I wanted my layout to have a progression towards our home of Australia...I used a globe cut file tucked under the left side of my photo for extra layering and embellished using arrows to help with the progession to our country....finally adding a map marker to our exact state!

There is a song that an Australian poet wrote once called 'I Still Call Australia Home' I was singing this song as I created this layout and thought it only fitting as the title for my page!

Off The Page Project - Suitcase

I have had this wooden suitcase for YEARS! My Mum is a folk art painter, she was having a cull of her pieces one day and gave it to me to do something with!

When I received the Atlas collection to play with, I knew straight away I would drag this out from the archives and pretty it all up!

I knew I wanted to use that gorgeous piece of Atlas vellum paper with the silver foiled aeroplanes on...I added pieces of it to the very ends on both sides of the suitcase....

The suitcase was too wide to use a full piece of patterned paper on one side, so I needed to improvise and cut the paper into sections...I got the idea to make some 'straps' with the navy patterned paper to hide the gaps and LOVE the result!

I added some embellishments to those fabulous Atlas tags and then attached them to both sides of the suitcase handles with some ribbon and twine...

Thank you so much for joining me on my blog today and thank you ever so much to the gorgeous Pink Paislee girls for having me as a guest designer!

I hope I have inspired you to create with your Pink Paislee goodies!

Happy creating..
