Friends Forever | May 2016 | Hip Kit Club

Hi there friends!
Today I am back with you to share a new Design Team scrapbook layout for Hip Kit Club using the May 2016 Hip Kits including the Main KitProject Life Kit and the Embellishment Add-On Kit.
Friends Forever
I really do not like cutting into any of those amazing exclusive papers that both Kim and Kimberly have designed for Hip Kit club. It takes all my strength to do it! I decided that I would separate the exclusive May cut file which has lots of small things joined together, I ungrouped all the parts of the cut file and put them all off to the side except for the circle doily looking one. I then enlarged it to fit most of the page and cut it out on one of the beautiful Meadowbrook exclusive papers with my Cameo. I then turned the centre over so you could see the text side and the dark blue is the outside scalloped edge. I machine stitched it to another of the exclusive patterned papers in the Meadowbrook range that I used for my background paper.  Friends Forever DetailI embellished using the Jillibean Soup Wood Veneer pieces, a Mini Placemat, Thin Alphas, the exclusive flair buttons, ephemera, alphabet and puffy stickers, some Echo Park enamel dots and some Bella Blvd Enamel Hearts and Illustrated Faith Felt Bow paper clip. Friends Forever Detail 2Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!

Fall Blessing | Just Nick Studio

Hi there everyone!
Today I am back with you to share a new design team scrapbook layout that I created for Just Nick Studio using one of the amazing background cut files in store.
It's finally Autumn/Fall here in Australia and since I haven't yet used the Pink Paislee Cedar Lane collection I thought this was the perfect chance to use some of it!
I love how the colours in the patterned paper pop against the white cut file. I used a fairly plain patterned paper for the background.
I used a few of the embellishments in the Cedar Lane ephemera pack to embellish this layout with this photo of my son and I from just the other day!
I kept my title fairly simple so I didn't cover up the background cut file too much.
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!
Happy cutting and creating!

Oliver & Baxie | April 2016 Kits | Hip Kit Club

 Hi everyone!

Today I am sharing a design team scrapbook layout that I created for Hip Kit Club using the awesome April 2016 Main and Add-On kits

We are all showcasing our furry friends this week, my youngest son is in love with my parents dog and vice versa so this was the perfect layout to document the sweet bond they have. I used the Pinkfresh Studio ‪Life Noted heart paper for my background, to emphasize the split between the hearts and the grid, I added a strip of the Amy Tangerine American Crafts ‪Better Together washi tape.

I just had to use that beautiful 'Happy Hearts Dance' Hip Kit exclusive‬ Project Life card designed by Kim Watson on this layout, it helps to bring some of the colour from the hearts across to the grid side. I further embellished my layout with lots of Pinkfresh Studio Life Noted embellishments, Heidi Swapp minc frame and banner paper clip, some rub-ons from the Better Together collection and enamel dots from My Minds Eye. ‪#‎hipkitclub‬ ‪#‎scrapbookingkitclub‬ ‪#‎kitclub‬

I also have a quick card to share with you using up some of the leftovers from the Hip Kit club kits..I wanted to create some layers with this card so I used two of the HKC exclusive project life cards designed by Kim Watson and cut them down to fit the cardstock card base. I added a wood veneer paper clip from Simple Stories Life in Color. I used two of the rub-ons from the Amy Tangerine American Crafts Better Together #ACbettertogether collection rubbing them onto some scrap white cardstock first so that they could be layered over each other and moved around. I further embellished my card with a sticker from the Shimelle Laine #ACstarshine Starshine collection, a Heidi Swapp banner paperclip and some enamel dots by My Minds Eye.

Together | Colour Me Happy | Cocoa Vanilla Studio

Hi everyone!
Today I am back sharing a new design team scrapbook layout for Cocoa Vanilla Studio using the amazing new Colour Me Happy collection.
TogetherI started by using a white gelato on the background paper to fade out some of the black spots in the background paper. I then took some more gelatos in similar colours to the patterned papers in the Colour Me Happy collection and used them to add small circles of colour around the page.
Together DetailI punched a couple of different sized circles from the patterned papers and arranged them around the layout until I was happy with the placement. I added a doily under my photo to break up a little bit of the colour against the photo.
Together Detail 2I also cut some of the leaves from the Colour Me Happy Cut Files with my Silhouette Cameo and added some of the green leaves from the Colour Me Happy collection. I further embellished my layout with the Snip-Its, some enamel dots, one of the flair buttons and one of the wood veneer titles.
Thank you so much for joining me on my blog today!

Be You | April 2016 Hip Kits | Hip Kit Club

Hi there friends!
I am back with you today to share a design team layout for Hip Kit Club using the April 2016 Hip Kits and the April exclusive Floral Ampersand cut file designed by Kim Watson.
I decided to cut the cut file out from the Elle's Studio 'Little Moments' pink ombre paper and I love the result! I then backed the cut file with the back side of the exclusive Just Dream 'Horizon' paper. I love how the yellow dots peek through the cut file a little. Be YouI used foam to add dimension and to lift the cut file off the page, this gave me a great opportunity to tuck some flowers and other embellishments in and around my layout. My brief for my project this week is 'Pretty Blooms' so it was the perfect chance to use the floral ampersand cut and tie it together with all those pretty flower rub-on's.Be You Detail (2)I also added some wood veneer from the Simple Stories 'Life in Color' collection and some Pinkfresh Studio 'Life Noted' acetate words that I machine stitched to the layout. Be You Detail 3I added a few other things like the My Minds Eye 'On Trend 2' enamel dots and the Heidi Swapp flag clips from the April 2016 Embellishment Add-On Kit and Project Life Kit for extra interest. That gorgeous large yellow butterfly I fussy cut from one of the exclusive Project Life cards that Kim Watson and Kimberly Hutchinson designed, I love that butterfly!Be You Detail 2 (2)I finished the layout by adding some splats of mist from the April 2016 Color Add-On Kit, using the Shimmerz Coloringz in both the No Yoking and the Oh Say Can You Sea!

Happy | Just Nick Studio

Hi everyone!
Today I am sharing a design team layout with you using the brand new and amazing Just Nick Studio Bits and Pieces Heart Background! This cut file would have to be one of my all time favourites from the awesome range of Just Nick cut files!
The Bits and Pieces Heart cut file is so effective no matter how you choose to use it, whether you choose to back each individual piece with different patterned papers or you could back it with the one patterned paper like I have done!
I used one of the busy patterned papers from the Pinkfresh Studio 'Up in the Clouds' collection to back the heart with. I love how the busy paper is broken up with the different size pieces from the heart cut file.
I added lots of extra Pinkfresh Studio goodies to this layout also including some of those awesome acetate words from the Life Noted collection and the rubber charms also from the Life Noted collection! I machine stitched through the acetate words to help hold them to the page!
Thanks so much for joining me on my blog today! Check out the Just Nick store for loads new cut files Nicole has just uploaded plus all your favourites already in store too!
Happy cutting and creating!

Life in Pictures | Life Noted | Pinkfresh Studio

Hi everyone!

Today I am sharing a 'just because' scrapbook layout! When I saw that big title paper from the Life Noted collection by Pinkfresh Studio, I just knew I wanted to challenge myself to use it!

I was thrilled with how this turned out, one of my favourite things at the moment is those acetate words! I used a few up on this one layout!

I love all different typography's and love to include them on a layout...all the bright colours in this layout make the words really pop!

This photo of my youngest son was taken by my hubby and it captures him perfectly! I love how the red in his shirt balances with the large LIFE title at the top!

You Are My Sun, My Moon | Colour Me Happy | Cocoa Vanilla Studio

Hi everyone!
Today I have a brand new design team layout to share with you featuring the brand new Cocoa Vanilla Studio Colour Me Happy collection!
You are my Sun
The inspiration for this layout came from that colourful 'You are my Sun, My Moon' card....I just loved the colours and knew I wanted to use my watercolour paints to add the same colours to the background star paper.
You Are My Sun Detail
I wanted to break up the background a little bit so I took one of the stars from the cut files that compliments the 'Colour Me Happy' collection and blew it up a bit bigger, I then machine stitched around the outline of the star to add some extra texture!
You Are My Sun Detail 2
Here is a close-up of some of the watercolour painting I added to the background paper. I used lots of pieces from the snippets sheet to embellish as well as some of the flair and wood veneer!

Be Brave | April 2016 Hip Kits | Hip Kit Club

Hi there everyone!
Today I have a brand new design team layout to share with you that I created using the April 2016 Main Hip Kit, Embellishment Add-On Kit and the Project Life Kit!
I decided I wanted to incorporate lots of the Pinkfresh Studio acetate words on to one page, once I laid a few down I was really liking how it looked and the rainbow effect came about easily when adding bits and pieces from each of the kits to compliment the words!
Be Brave.png
I machine stitched the acetate words down for extra texture and for extra hold! I used lots of colour co-ordinating pieces from the Pinkfresh Studio Life Noted washi stickers, epoxy stickers and rubber charms, Shimelle/American Crafts Starshine stickers and loads of the My Minds Eye On Trend 2 enamel dots/shapes to fill in spaces.
For this week I focused on incorporating cards on a layout in a different way, I chose 4 of the journal cards from the Shimelle Starshine ephemera pack and layered stickers over 2 of them. I also used a couple of the colour co-ordinating Project Life cards, by cutting some small strips to fill in a few gaps here and there on my layout also.Be Brave Detail
I loved how adding a few of the Simple Stories wood veneer pieces helped to ground the layout a little. By adding a neutral colour I feel it breaks up the rainbow a little bit!Be Brave Detail 2
Thank you so much for joining me on my blog today! I hope you are now inspired to get creating with your April 2016 Hip kits! This layout is one of those ones to help you 'kill your kit' if you are almost at the end of your kit and you need a way to use up ALL the things!
Don't forget to mark your calendars and join us on the Hip Kit Facebook Member Forum for a fun-filled couple of days celebrating (Inter)national Scrapbook Day! There will be challenges, prizes and chat and lots of fun!
See you there!

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star | April 2016 Kits | Hip Kit Club

Today I am so excited to be sharing my very first project as a new designer for Hip Kit Club! I created my layout using the amazing April 2016 Hip Kits!

This week I am focusing on adding tiny details to my layout, this was so simple to do with all the gorgeous little embellishments included in the April 2016-Main kit, the April 2016-Colour Add-On kit, the April 2016-Embellishment Add-on kit and the April 2016 Project Life kit!

Some of my tiny details include the tiny exclusive acrylic stars, My Mind's Eye enamel dots, machine stitching, splats of mist, Shimelle Laine American Crafts #starshine collection phrase stickers and Simple Stories #lifeincolor wood veneer. As soon as I saw the exclusive Starstruck paper designed by the one and only Kim Watson, I knew I had the perfect photo to use and this is how my star themed layout came about!

As the Starstruck paper is quite busy I needed something to help break up the busyness so I enlarged one of the stars that Ashley Horton designed from the free cut file set and cut it from white cardstock with my Cameo...I then machine stitched around the outside edge to add some definition.

I love the look of different size and coloured fonts so I used lots of the different Alpha sets for my title. Some of the beautiful exclusive Project Life cards that the lovely Kimberly Krater Hutchison and Kim Watson designed were perfect for layering behind my photo and I loved using the Shimmerz Paints 'No Yoking' mist for some subtle splatters of yellow throughout my page.

These kits are so beautiful and have so much product included! If you were thinking about subscribing...go for it! I promise you will not be disappointed! #hipkitclub #silhouettecameo #exclusives #scrapbooking #scrapbookkits Pinkfresh Studio #lifenoted Amy Tangerine #plusone #bettertogether Elle's Studio #littlemoments
