Home Sweet Home | Elle's Studio Family Fun | Sassy Scrappers

Hi everyone!

I am back with you today to share a new layout I have created for Sassy Scrappers using the beautiful Elle's Studio 'Family Fun' collection!

To begin this layout, I pulled out all the grey and blue elements including papers, ephemera, puffy stickers, acrylic shapes and journal cards. I arranged my photo and the journal cards into a design I was happy with.

Before I adhered them all down, I added some machine stitching to create some added interest and texture. I like how the stitching creates a border around each too. The banner I made in the top right, I also machine stitched through and curled up the bottom of the banners for some dimension.

Once my photo and journal cards were adhered, I then embellished my layout using the puffy stickerswood veneer piecesacrylic shapes and ephemera. The Home Sweet Home title I used foam adhesive underneath to raise it off the page.

I love that the journal card on the right, left me an area to add some of the things we are currently loving!

If you don't have the Elle's Studio Family Fun collection, I urge you to grab it from the Sassy store now! Its so fun to create with! I am loving it!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Happy creating!

Joy | September 2017 Main and Add-On Kits | Hip Kit Club

Hi everyone!

Today I am sharing how I featured the gorgeous 'Turn the Page' stamp set on my project for Hip Kit Club this week!

This stamp set is super cute and its so easy to add just a little hint of stamping to your projects or go all out and do lots!
This is the layout I created using the September 2017 Main and Add-On kits!

I started first by stamping lots of the flower stamps onto white cardstock using different coloured inks. I then fussy cut a lot of them out so that they could be added as embellishments in and around the amazing cut file for September designed by Kim Watson. Some of the stamps were also stamped right onto the cardstock to give a subtle hint of colour as you can see in the photo below.

I cut the cut file from white cardstock first and then cut it a second time from that gorgeous patterned paper by Paige Evans so I could layer it over the top of the white one. In the photo below you can see I didn't fully adhere the 2 cut files together, so it gave a little extra dimension.

Those suede bows are my favourite and one just had to be added to the cute bunny to the right of my photo! I used lots of other embellishments from the September 2017 Hip Kits like the Turn the Page wood veneer pieces, puffy stickers, chipboard stickers and die-cut ephemera!

I hope we have inspired you to use your 'Turn the Page' stamp set?! We would love to see what you create using it, share your work in our Facebook member forum so we can leave you some love!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Family Fun | Elle's Studio Family Fun | Sassy Scrappers

Hi everyone!

Today I have a brand new layout for Sassy Scrappers using one of the brand new collections now in the Sassy store! It is the super pretty Family Fun collection by Elle's Studio!

I honestly did not know where to start with my layout this week as this collection is awesome! I pulled out this background paper and was immediately inspired to add some circular elements to go with the circles already printed on the paper. The thin strip of paper down the left hand side is the manufacturer strip, I trimmed it off the bottom of the paper as I love those stripes!

The 2 flair buttons I have used on this layout were not included in this collection, they just come from my evergrowing stash! My favourite thing from this collection are those super cute acrylic shapes. I just adore those colours and the cute shapes!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! Stay tuned for more layouts by me using this collection coming up over the next couple of weeks!

Get your Family Fun collection from the Sassy store now!

Happy creating!

Eat, Sleep, SK8 | Crate Paper Cool Kid | Sassy Scrappers

Hi everyone!

Today I have a new design team layout to share with you created for Sassy Scrappers using the awesome 'Cool Kid' collection by Crate Paper! This is the 8th layout I have created using this collection and I didn't have the entire collection either....it's amazing what you can create with a small amount of supplies!

I didn't have enough of the wood veneer alphas to make a word from so I just grabbed the 'S' and the 'K' letters from some chipboard ones I had in my stash......I love how I could use just 2 letters and team them with the ephemera '8' piece to create part of my title.

I used up some of the Cool Kid puffy stickers as part of my title and for some embellishing as well. The Bang! Zing strip of paper is from one of the patterned papers....I had to add it as my son has had a few stacks on his skateboard so the Bang was very appropriate!

A close up above of the Eat, Sleep, SK8 title! I added some black machine stitching around the outside edge for some added detail and texture.

I added the tape measure strip of paper to represent distance and measurement of how far my son gets on the skateboard before he falls off!

Check out the Sassy Scrappers store for this collection plus loads more things too!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!

Happy creating!

Everyday | September 2017 Main and Add-On Kits | Hip Kit Club

Hi everyone!

Today I am sharing this week's design team scrapbook layout created for Hip Kit Club using the September 2017 Main and Add-On kits!

My layout for this week was based on this fabulous sketch below, designed by Missy Whidden!

I decided to add lots of layers and use lots of product that was included in the September 2017 Main and Add-On kits! I started out cutting one of the August cut files using my Silhouette Cameo. I then used some foam tape underneath the cut file once I backed it with some patterned paper. This circular piece represents the large circle in the sketch, this is also where I wanted the main focus to be as it would hold my photo.

I pulled out lots of the circular elements from the September 2017 Hip Kits that I knew could represent some of the other circles in the sketch. Not only did I use round pieces, I also layered some of the beautiful flower cluster die-cut pieces too. The Turn the Page collection by Pink Paislee/Paige Evans is so beautiful!

My new favourite product are those adorable suede bows by Amy Tangerine from the Hustle and Heart collection! I just had to add one to the front of the also adorable chipboard birdhouse!
I hope I have inspired you to get creating with your Hip Kit Club kits and the sketch for this week?!

Happy creating!

My Boyz | Crate Paper Cool Kid | Sassy Scrappers

Hi everyone!

Today I am back to share a new design team layout for Sassy Scrappers created using the super awesome 'Cool Kid' collection by Crate Paper.

To start my layout, I found a cool cut file from Just Nick Studio and cut it from white cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo, then using the Cool Kid 6' x 6' paper pad, I backed all the open spaces with different papers. I love how it turned out! The middle circle was backed using some plain red cardstock. Once I had everything backed I used some foam tape to adhere the entire cut file from the background paper.

I am starting to run out of embellishments from the Cool Kid collection so I am having to think of clever layout ideas that will allow me to use what I have left! I had the 2 boy chipboard pieces so I knew a brother/son layout would be best for this one!

I decided to cut my photo into a circle shape and I matted it with a paper cut into a circle also.

I hope I have inspired you to create some boy layouts? Make sure to check out the Cool Kid collection plus so much more in the Sassy Store now!

Happy creating!

A Little Dirt Never Hurt | Crate Paper Cool Kid | Sassy Scrappers

Hi everyone!

Today I am back with you to share a new design team layout  created for Sassy Scrappers using the Crate Paper 'Cool Kid' collection

The background paper I chose for this layout reminded me of dirt tracks and so it was perfect for this layout and photo of my eldest son playing in the dirt! There were some great embellishments included in this range for me to include on this layout!

I made good use of the 6 x 6 paper pad to create my title. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the title out but I used different coloured papers for different words making sure that there wouldn't be the same colours close together.

I loved creating this layout and thinking a little outside the box!

Make sure you check out the Sassy store where you can find all of the Cool Kid collection plus so much more too!

Happy creating!
